DraftReviewed 23 October 2026Reading guide in English

Seven draft principles

The draft brings together truthfulness, currency, traceability, perceptibility, comprehension, coherence and openness. Its scope covers printed and digital transport information. It does not prescribe an operator’s visual identity.

Truth and currency

A view should identify the source it represents and the period for which it is valid.

Access and comprehension

Colour works alongside codes, names and shape. A visual map needs another way to understand its connections.

Coherence and openness

Line and stop identity should survive changes of scale, format and tool.

Requirements and conformance tests

The proposed structure links principles to numbered requirements, techniques and repeatable tests. A conformance claim would concern a specific product and version, with published evidence.

The A, AA and AAA levels are part of a draft. They are not an accreditation service or an available certification. A complete numbered test suite is still being developed.

Publication metadata

The draft proposes a publication record containing validity dates, generation date, source version, source fingerprint and licence. Further fields describe the generator, style and declared level.

The aim is to make a view inspectable and reproducible, including when it is printed or shared outside its original interface.
